yes, that had occurred to me just after I posted
I have seen manipulation so many times on the ASX where orders are amended at the final second before 4:10 close to suit whether unloading is being done at the higher pip or accumulation done at a lower pip. 3 shares traded could be the differenec between a million shares closing the market at 3.9 or 4.0 or whether you want to give the appearance of distribution or accumulation.
