until the day it decouples.
we can see that btc hldgs by dcc have gone from 470 odd down to 420 odd ie a decrease of 50 coins.
If one takes the time to look at the interim fin report you can see the company made 730k in revenue but payment to employees and share based payments were 1.3mm.
Now if you have two more years like that and the shortfall is funded from existing bitcoin assets what do you think is going to happen ??
CR or decrease in assets or both. So if your assets decrease the chance of decoupling becomes higher - therefore its a race against the clock - you need one of the investments to payoff big time or for btc to rally hard and sell some coins for profit. The issue is whether perceived or not is that there is a slight conflict of interest on behalf of management because when bit coin rallies their is less incentive to cash in. The best scenario from management pov is for btc to stay low and they use the coins to pay salary and other stuff thru coins and then btc rallies hard.
So what needs to happen for the company to really breakout is a decidely large increase in their four revenue streams so they ccan pay expenses and generate a nice profit outside of a btc reval. Now have alook at all the ico over last three years and how many have really been on a sustained rally and been successful
Now this isnt different from other startup companies except in this case the assets which drive the company value and subject to high volatiity are used to incentivise staff. Sort of like an oil company paying employees in barrels of oil.
so for those investing because of the correlation with btc - the question to mind becomes why not invest directly in btc. For those who believe in DCC then need to keep an eye on how fast the revenue streams are growing and to ensure cashflow becomes positive because at some point in time if the CR come thick and fast then at some point investors are going to want a payoff. For holders lets hope one of the investments pays off and handsomely.
Otherwise just trade the mother on the basis of the rise and fall of btc
