Funny you should provide that link in the previous post as I also read that this week. What I found interesting is they spoke about NanoAct which is.a product by Asahi-Kasai;
Now what is interesting is the NanoAct (Cellulose particles) test is 10x more sensitive than the gold Colloidal they compared too for the hCG assay and you can read about that here;
No mention of mix and go or the method of binding. They do mention that stability studies have been conducted on the materials used and 'no problems have been found' which I found interesting. It also worth noting they use the same Qiagen ESE reader we are packaging the AMG kit with.
So either NanoAct is a huge threat to the work we are doing in this arena or this could possibly be a company we have a supply agreement with (or could have in the future) which hasn't been named. I am not saying they are, just sharing some of my research.
