    General description

Mix&Go Micro was developed for binding antibodies and other proteins to magnetic particles greater than 1 μm in size. It forms strong multi-valent interactions with almost any electron donating groups including carboxylic acids. Once proteins are added, Mix&Go activated particles rapidly form very strong but gentle binding interactions.

Mix&Go Micro has been used to stably activate many particles. Examples include: M-270 Dynabeads®, Bangs ProMag, JSR MS300 Carboxyl and Estapor® M1-200/20.

Mix&Go Micro has many advantages over existing methods such as EDC/NHS chemistry or alternative “pre-activated” methods such as Epoxy or Tosyl. Mix&Go is water based and replaces the dry chemicals you would use with the EDC method. Using Mix&Go instead of NHS/EDC chemistry can save up to 3-4 hours of lab time. Experiments have shown increased stability and functionality for antibodies and a decreased background. Mix&Go improves reproducibility between experiments by providing uniformity between surfaces. For particles from 0.5 μm to 1 μm the recommended Mix&Go product is Mix&Go Sub-Micron.
