DIAMOND DRILLING PROGRAMME COMMENCES AT
THE NACHU GRAPHITE PROJECT
Uranex Limited (ASX: UNX) (“Uranex” or the “Company”) is pleased to advise that the
diamond drilling programme has commenced on its 100% owned Nachu Graphite
Project.
The programme has three key aims:
1. To provide representative samples for graphite grade analysis.
2. Provide sufficient information to allow a mineral resource to be calculated on
the areas targeted.
3. Provide representative samples for metallurgical test work.
A decision to start the diamond drilling immediately after the reverse circulation (RC)
drilling programme is a result of both the success of RC drilling programme (reference
1) and the recent capital raising of $2 million (reference 2).
The Uranex geology team visually logged graphitic mineralization in 54 of the 55 RC
holes drilled during the RC programme. These holes were spread over 829 hectares
of strong conductor zones interpreted from the electromagnetic (EM) survey which
was completed in October 2013 (reference 3).
Due to the large size of the zones of mineralization determined during the RC drilling,
the company decided to focus the diamond drilling on a few specific areas. The
selection of the areas was based on the geologists’ visual assessment of graphite
flake size, graphite grade and the consistency of the mineralization in the samples
obtained from the RC drilling programme.
