my 2c is that;

a. we dont really know what money is moving in and out. When there is a glut in sentiment and people are selling out (even early in the week), my feeling is that smart money is getting in.

b. oil and gas investing is binary. either we will be at 3c or 50c+ in december. Not sure how many managers take that risk early on with clients money before a certain amount of derisking. Whether that is now or after Zapato is probably subjective.

For what its worth, as a retail investor, this is where I make my money (hopefully). Getting into a stock before the masses and before its completely derisked.
