Perth house prices have been going down for a number of years. However rental demand has outstripped supply because of a fall in building new homes. Now the amount of property vacant for rental is at 2% which is similar to what it was prior to the mining boom and the housing boom that went with it. I am expecting another more modest mining boom and substantial increases in Perth property prices in a couple years.
