I have gone through a couple of their announcements and MML has faced weather issues such as flooding and damaged haul roads. Some of these have affected their production such as seen in the December quarterly. As usual retail investors will be the last to know if any of these occur.
There is also the appalling safety record with 2 deaths in under 6 months. What if the mine site is deemed unsafe? Operations will be suspended . I should highlight this HAS happened to MML before.
The fact that management went around touting 90-95% recovery when the quarterly came out with 85% is definitely the worst. Now they are saying 90-92% but highlighted the need to replace the internal liners of the SAG mill in second half.
