Quarterly Relenza sales had plummeted more 97% from $220.8M to $5.2M for which Peter Cook stated it reflected the Northern Hemisphere Off-season. He was hopping all shareholders are stupid enough not to be able to calculate that the Relenza sales had plummeted 96% from the $158.2M June 07 same off-season quarter to the miserable $6.2M June 08 quarter.


The above plunging Relenza sales is before Peter Cook sold out the legal case at a great loss. With the legal case out of the way, GSK lost no time in actively pursuing sales of put options for Relenza to corporations and governments instead of selling Relenza. The effect of this is an almost certain reduction in future royalties. From all previous pandemic sale announcements, GSK pays Biota royalties only when the Relenza is delivered to the client.

The biggest boost to BTA sp will be Peter Cook and his mates resigning from Biota instead of staying and bleeding the company with spiralling increases of free options and executive remunerations for idiotic decisions making.

Peter Cook has truly established his credentials for wealth creation with the 38% increase in his executive remunerations while shareholders wealth moved in the opposite direction. He endeared himself to Orbital Engine (OEC) shareholders by taking OEC share price from around 70 cents to about 10 cents in the 3 years he was their CEO.

Biota has some very promising drugs in the pipeline especially LANI and HRV. Remove the parasites and Biota will have a fair chance of success.
