What one requires to do if one is to act - is to make bloody sure that one can render the baddie unconscious or dead - rapidly - so rapidly, they cannot get off a shot or use whatever weapons they have.
Piddling about wrestling with a man with a loaded gun is fraught with danger.
Bringing a besser block or a brick down on their head also has it's risks - but, if you get in a hit - you make sure 120% the bugger doesn't get up.
It is a very difficult situation for people unless they are well trained in high stress situations. We of course don't know what happened - and maybe we never will.
Which ever way it goes - if possible ---------- forget the 'wrestlie, I will grab the gun stuff' if possible - just kill the bastard, however, whenever and with as much certainty as possible and certainly as quickly as possible.
Lets hope we make some changes so this happens as few a times as possible in future.
