Looks a bit insolvent to me.
As at 31/12/2008 GMG had 854m of current assets, and 1506m of current liabilities. A short fall of 652m. It sold a further 168m of assets after balance date. So it needs to find $500m from somewhere, to pay its debts as they fall due. They probably roll over a loan or two, but they look like they are sailing close to the wind.
At lot of GMG fixed assets are tied up in investments, which might prove more difficult to sell than real assets.
