They don't need all 3 approved, they could get 1 approved and sit on other applications while they redo trials and re-examine their data if they wish to restructure their treatments. Novartis have money and time, they just need to believe in their products- they clearly believe that MSB have something to offer, why sign an agreement.
Regarding SI not selling and waiting fir 5000% premium, if Novartis really wanted to play hard ball, they could acquire MSB in a heartbeat with a hostile takeover- they happen all the time- they wouldn't consider a 100%-200% unreasonable- Si might but he would be forced into the acquisition without his consent. If he doesn't want to become a target from the predators- the Sp needs to move north. Predators are licking their lips and ready to pounce.
