Blane, my experience of PF is that he could not be told anything. He had fixed views, whether through naivety or arrogance I do not know. As an example, several years ago BLT withdrew from their Chinese project citing (I paraprase) he could not work with the Chinese. At the time I had quite a bit of experience doing deals in China (and in 26 other countries where I have negotiated more than 100 successful joint ventures) and I offered to help him for free. I never even got a response. If Peter carried this attitude forward, it's no surprise that no company would want to deal with someone so intractable. But he is gone now and we move forwards. I hope that we get a deal maker to run the company. Not some academic who regards shareholders as a necessary nuisance to fund their research.
