Ive found since CMC opened a dealing room in Sydney there service has improved 100%, plus they now have more competition to keep them honest. With the shares i watch (which changes quite often) there spread seems to match the underlying share and the index cfd (aussie200) i now trade in 40/50 point lots at times and rarely have problems getting filled. Havent used IG but have looked into there costs ect and found there commission at the time was 0.5%, i think its now come down to around 0.3%, were as CMC's commission is 0.1%. This can obviously add up if you trade decent volume and on a regular basis.
Anyway im quite happy with there setup (wish they still didnt charge commission on share cfd's), but check out the others as theres a few out there offering cfd's now.
