That 600M loan facility of a year and a half ago was meant to be for M&A from memory. Surely a decent purchase isn't far away. Record gold environment yet most gold related stocks are still sitting in the dumps. Plenty of mid-tie goldies on the ASX with decent resources, closing in on production in the next two years. AUC (likely 4-5Moz deposits in WA) and PDI (likely 8-10Moz deposits in Africa) are a couple I am aware of. However, there are scores more and all these ASX stocks are at value right now. Now is the time to be buying IMO.
NST probably have eyes on bigger fish and already established/producing companies but I am sure there are enough funds to ensure future investments and get a few mid-tiers under the belt too.
