I think poor stock performance and poor business performance are two different things. There was not any BNPL in 2015.
Current CEO was appointed in Oct 2018, the brand re-organisation happened later and the pieces for an integrated global BNPL strategy really only came together last year. This deal is not necessay, i.e. HUMM is not screaming for cash or needing ot borrow ... and the BNPL it is being sold at a time when BNPL is undervalued because of the fear of the unsustainable cash burn seen at other players. The HUMM model is differentiated beccause of the larger transaction sizes, low cash burn (and pathway to profitability) and the businesses ability to self-fund.

There is no plan for the money (or unwanted scrip) received ... other than giving it to shareholders to make the leasing business a neater and cheaper take over target. It stinks. Why are we selling again?
