Ahead of the Singapore Airshow (11-14 February), EOS Defence Systems Pte will display its industry-leading, battle-proven technology. EOS is partnering with Milrem Robotics and at its booth, they will showcase lightweight lethality with enhanced CUAS capability, exhibiting the THeMIS UGV equipped with an EOS R400S-Mk2 remote weapon system.

Commenting on the event, EOS Defence Systems Pte President Henry Heng said: “EOS predominantly is export driven and Asia Pacific remains an important market for our future growth. Our new facility located at the west coast of Singapore is one of the most advanced support centre for remote weapon systems in Asia. We will continue to strengthen ties with our customers in the region, bringing the latest capability and technology that meet the requirements of the end user. EOS is looking forward to supporting Milrem Robotics and Enlog Strategic Services to promote an integrated weaponised unmanned platform solution for the regional customers.”

According to Jane's 360, EOS officials told Jane's at the Singapore Airshow that the company has recently opened a facility within the country to undertake work including systems integration and production, and maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrades (MRO&U). The new facility is initially aimed at supporting EOS' R-600 RWS. Company officials also said that EOS aims to double the size of its facility over the next few years, although the scope of that expansion will depend on additional orders of EOS products and technologies.

Spacetech Asia writes that a project in which EOS Space Systems is involved, is among the two space-related projects out of the 24 recently awarded by the Australia’s Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) Grants, which support short-term collaborative research projects. Liquid Instruments, the Australian National University (ANU) and EOS Space Systems, who are developing next-generation test and measurement devices for photonics sensing, will receive USD 1.91 million (AUD 2.85 million). According to the website, the 'project will commercialise advanced test and measurement technology to enable high-performance optics and photonics sensing for industrial, education and defence applications, including laser ranging systems and laser communications for a deep-space internet and secure military communications.'
