OK so what were the results announced from the 'trial' beneficiation, did it nudge it up be 1 or 2%?

beneficiation is typically performed on low grade (~40%) where the impurities can be easily removed from the ore via this process to get it up to ~60%. Indeed some steel mills have beneficiation plants at their ports and run the low grade ore they purchase as such off the ships through the meat grinder to achieve their goals, other miners do it themselves IF its economical..

i did read one of the earlier announcements that they achieved 58% post beneficiation, that's hardly anything to cheer when you consider the design of the plant, power req'd, operations, water etc..

there's been nothing announced in the previous 3 yrs to suggest PIOP is anything but a 56-58% DSO operation.. PIOP will rise or fall on those project fundamentals..
