    If I ignore the units and assume the century is 19XX, yes, since I haven't had my birthday yet this year.

    If you were born this century, you get 100 and something after adding 40. Plus 1940 will make it work for everyone who hasn't blown out their birthday candles in 2024.

    83 plus 1940 = 2023 so it ain't exactly mind boggling mathematics.

    Try this one.
    Think of a number between one and twenty. Multiply it by nine. Add the digits of the resulting number. (If that sum is a two digit number, add the digits again to get a single digit number. Should only happen if you chose '11' to start with.)
    Multiply that single digit number by six, which should be a two digit number.
    Now, counting up the alphabet - i.e. 1 is A, 2 is B, 3 is C etc, think of an animal starting with the letter corresponding to the first digit.
    Similarly, think of a country starting with the second digit.
