you are investing in the wrong industry if you think like this, as it happens ALL the time - no one will build you a business for free.

Basically, these guys deserve to get rewarded ONCE they have succeeded in building a successful company.

Where you there when they were trudging through the muddy slopes of western tasmania spending long nights analysing data, pictures etc?

Where you there when they could have accepted a typical white collar job in the CBD with benefits, security etc, but they decided to take a punt and build a business in the wilderness?

Where you there when they took a punt to build on a business which was reliant on drilling holes in the ground, and could have so easily come up with nothing as all it took was a % here or there to make the project not viable and all your efforts wasted?

Where you there to invest your time and opportunity cost of earning power in a series of unknowns?

Or did you just grab a couple of bucks, login to your broker and push some buttons and expect everything to be done for you?

I could go on and on.

I do not wholeheartedly agree with what has currently happended (timing and conditions etc), but I agree with the principle of rewarding directors adequately.
