FOR FRE AND SPL who have both suffered at the whims of TGA and lack of interest by Morrison and sadly now Albo Govt who could hasten approval of “dangerous” vapes but ignore evidence of Covid and Respiratory Virus Australian nasal sprays.

Maybe some serious political questions are long overdue about DOHAC-TGA… a joint complaint about anti competitive behaviour from ASX listed FRE and SPL. TGA gets away with anonymous complainants where profitability of a complainant can be a real unfair motive. Both ASX companies have RESTRICTED REPRESENTATIONS -( threats of infringements if there is a misstep in words on the internet online stores) imposed whilst a blind eye is turned on Sched 4 medicine promotions / adverts / PSAs(public service announcements by sponsors of just one identifiable medicine) flooding Facebook daily even stating ”for Australians” by
# Pfizer linked to downloadable pdf named Paxlovid until their legals no doubt sorted them out and the downloadable is now named “unnamed…” since March;
# Merck maker of Lagevrio and
# recently joined by GSK re RSV treatment PSA (Public Service advice!)

Why has this US path to advertising “COVID-19 go-to-know” (Pfizer) or plan for COVID.com.au (Merck) been accepted in Australias regulator TGA - where we have stopped free samples to GPs by drug company reps and only use chemical names on Sched 4 scripts. All Poison Standsrd scheduling includes specific Apoendix H rulings which pass to the register ARTG

Its time (yes Albo; Butler and Husic) to give Australian innovative exceptional pharma a fair go and not give favours to US Big Pharma… because in Covid pandemic, covered by Morrison secrecy of National Cabinet confidential 20yrs, a pattern has emerged and the legal bills mounted for Australian pharma just seeking procedural fairness.
In BMJ June 2022 the 96% funding by big pharma of TGA and lack of TGA staff reporting of conflicts of interest was shown - this was further considered in 2023 Auditor General report where rec 4 that DOHAC start accurate recording of TGA conflicts as required in 1989 act. They agreed.
And FFS it’s hard enough for small Aussie pharma to survive and do necessary trials without Big Pharma wave through. Many are not aware that Paxlovid was quietly changed from provisional TGA approval in August 2024 to full approval just after the April 2024 Pfizer researchers update on EPIC-SR which shows failure v placebo in vaccinated. So BIG PHARMA INC - corporations - in TRUMPs America do not like our PBS and Trump is going to use tariffs against us.

BUT the fact is that about $2.6 billion Ozzie taxpayer $ has been spent on antiviral drugs - pills by Pfizer and Merck. If that same money had been spent on FREE supply of effective respiratory virus nasal sprays next to hand sanitisers and masks and in aged care and hospitals and shopping centres etc think how transmission and prevention and treatment would have benefited many Ozzie’s over 1

in the graph below, allowing bulk supply at $5, $7.50 or $10 the red antiviral pills column of community based treatment Paxlovid or Lagevrio is barely visible.
AND - SPL and FRE share price would likely rise to reflect the marketplace for antiviral nasal sprays
