Hey Badcomputer,
My perspective is that the trials completed so far (from the period between 2002 to 2007) is that they were small scale, without adequate controls and patients were not followed up long term (if they have, it hasn't been published through peer review), such that it's difficult to assess wether patients have derived a benefit from the treatment. What i'd like to see is a big cap raising to conduct a larger scale study, it's been promised but hasn't been forthcoming. It's difficult to see CE marking without that data.
