I too am a UK investor or ex investor until we find out what has happened as no real information has come to light other than the companies recently issued accounts for 2015 and 2016. I like yourself am seeking to offset my loss for tax purposes.
According to this site,

The Financial Statements for the Year to June 2016 were published on a going concern basis and filed on 16 December 2016.
If the company is still regarded as a Going Concern then why are they ignoring their shareholders?
Who owns Norseman Gold its shareholders? (Would have thought so)
Maybe we shareholders need to get together and get some expert advice on where we stand?
