Hmm, HC's ridiculously overzealous profanity filter cut my post after I modified the word priick.

It went pretty much like this:

He gives himself a remuneration package that draws harsh criticism from the ASA (who normally primarily concern themselves with substantially larger corporations), and we shareholders ostensibly do nothing about it - although I personally voted against it, even though my votes obviously weren't counted because officially, the number of dissenting votes was less than 79,000 shares (perhaps my papers were lost in the mail)."

Although obviously no-one can take this forum fodder at 100% face value, if I ever suspect a director/chairman of directly lying to shareholders, I'm out. It was one of the first - and most valuable - lessons I have come across on the market.
