if much of the east coast wasnt a coal bed we'd have nuclear.
too many jobs in the coal industry.
coal is toooo cheap for oz as a fuel for electricity.
the rest of the world is going nuts over nuclear, as they dont have our coal.
the population of oz fits into tokyo. a nuke industry is not warranted for so few people.
we are, however, positioning ourselves as an important global player, in all facets of the nuke cycle.
sunniest continent. amenable to geothermal. windy. lotsa waves. why wouldnt we push for 20% renewable?
