I wish to remind all and sundry that Bob Menzies, after WW2, suggested that Australia build 10 Nuclear Power stations in remote areas to pump water and supply remote areas with power.

A deal was done with the UK to the effect that the UK would supply the necessary know how in exchange for using Maralinga as an test site for nuclear weapons.

When the tests were done, the UK welshed on the deal and left us to clean up the mess they had made.
