My first exposure to a large renewables project was about 16yrs ago .Cape grimm north west Tasmania , a huge wind farm on a large farm called Woolnorth. When I asked the guide why only a couple of the huge wind turbines were operating she said that they shut dow when the wind gets too fast. I asked if that was common , she said more often than not. seemed a bit dumb but what do I know.
