Experts have been calling the demise of the USD since the '70s and '80s. CBs have most holdings of US gov debt, and their largest reserves are US treasuries. So by selling debt and US they are shooting themselves in the foot. If the USD collapses, what does it collapse against?? The euro?? the STG ?? AUD?? The USD is the global currency and will be for many decades. Gold wont surge. Most of all the gold mined is in CB vaults earing ZERO. The USD can weaken from time to time. A death spiral is fantasy.
