The only thing that will halt production or shut a mine down other than no demand is fatality's and a bad safety record.
Hence Rio's and Woodsides strict safety policies.
I wouldnt like to be holding FMG shares atm.
I would be very suprised if this latest thing doesnt have a very negative effect on current sp.
