Yeah. My fuel bill for the year is around $4000 give or take. That’s calculated on $1:40 per litre. As fuel rises so will yearly operating costs.
Elon says his battery packs will soon last 1000 000 miles
at 85% efficiency. How long the electric motors will run is anyone’s guess but probably last longer than ICEs before needing replacement. I don’t think there would be many vehicles out there except for maybe long haul trucks that can boast 1000 000 miles for a lifetime of transport.
At this point the only thing holding back EV’s imo is range.
Get affordable EVs to 500 kilometre range then its game over for ICEv.
