You don’t need to understand that sacred ceremonies, corroboree’s and stories told through dance are part of the the culture of our long term residents to appreciate its value. Just as we all understand that the culture of domestic abuse/violence, substance abuse, high rates of criminal activity, coupled with isolated communities and next to zero incentives to getting a job is not culturally acceptable in this day and age. It isn’t Culture that is behind the high rates of ugliness in some of these communities but a lack of it.
The idea of throwing money at these issues or that political types can fix these issues has been tried so many times that surely even the most simple can understand that the only answers to these issues are yet to be found.
