No it doesnt need weighting. For those really vast ones, It needs additional funding for travel within the electorate, additional staff and offices distributed in the electorate to handle initial enquiries. However If I was to live in PEARCE west aust my vote is 1/125,000 If I was to live in Solomon in NT my vote is 1/70,000. Solomon however takes in all of Darwin which is just as much suburban as Pearce.
In any case this is not a Liberal/Labor thing. This is managed by the AEC.
