As inflation grows and businesses start to fail the government is choosing to intervene, this is the crux of the problem.
In previous crashes businesses were allowed to fail, and this gave smaller innovative businesses a chance to grow and emerge as new players.
But such is the governments fear of economic collapse they are choosing to prop up businesses that have not been competitive.
I'm not saying all companies are guilty of this, but PRINTING MORE MONEY to save failing companies is pouring fuel on the inflation fire.
OK we do have essential services like Qantas (debatable, but i get it).
I ran my first company for 20 years, through two crashes, we never got bailed out and we survived, let the dead wood burn and allow the economy to function as it should, this is a normal process that ensures a healthy economy in the years to come.
People can argue that these are unprecedented times, but there are still smart innovative companies out there, that saw what was coming and planned accordingly, their reward is nothing, because their poorly performaning competitors get to survive and hold market share.

Great post - 100% agree.

Trouble is, these bloody Socialists/Marxists think they can "physically manage" all parts of the economy and, when you add in Stephanie Kelton's insane MMT policy - well, we can all see how that is turning out. She (& her cohorts) should be locked up! When the inevitable economic collapse happens - it takes everybody down with it....except of course, those who are smarter and hold "real" assets.

They paint Capitalism as being an economy where only the privileged get to succeed but that is typical scaremongering crap. When Capitalism is allowed to run in an honest unmanipulated fashion, the very fact that markets can trade freely based on true supply and demand means the economy will always be exactly where it should be. All participants will be happy - based on the decisions they have made. Those that improve themselves and work hard will be successful and those that don't want to contribute to society so much well, they will be further down the ladder - BUT with the ability to get higher when they decide they want to.

I believe, at the end of the day, "the Market" are smarter than those pulling the levers ... let's wait and see!
