I just had another look on the website and there is no dry land tree crop methodology up for consideration. The PEP is completely unsuitable for Mallee. If you run the models in areas where CCF and CO2 operate you get 1-2t/CO2e/ha/yr. I have been in the audience when CO2 and CCF have claimed to get 15t/CO2e/ha/yr.

You will also have to distinguish between block planting and strip plantings. I know the Mallee planting methodology is being advanced but it is not yet available for public comment which takes a minimum of 40 days, perhaps it is with the DOIC for first pass. I cant wait to get a look at it. Nice trick using destructive sampling as part of the methodology to keep it out of the reach of the average punter. Will the data feed into the NCAS system? Please explain how one farmer running his own mallee planting can be awarded less credits than the next door neighbor just because one can afford a better sampling technique - the trees and the carbon are the same.
