Jess, i think we all need to wait for confirmation (in the form of an announcement) before we count our chickens.
That said, the buying patterns ($170k+ line wipes over multiple days) suggest to me that one of 2 things is happening. A large investor has recognised value in the company. or, as the finance is being arranged (or shopped around) certain parties have been approached. one/some/all of those parties may or may not have had representations made to them around one or both of the acerage plays held by AKK. additionally, if they are keen to provide finance, they would know the effect that sort of finance would have on a company with a $30m (now $60m) market cap.
if you were a financier, and willing to loan $40m (in a staged approach) to a company and you saw that they had a $40/50/60m market cap you would have to think they are way undervalued?
