It would push back the largest repayment and remove most of the doubts around FMG's ability to repay its debt. One of the main points raised by the doubters is that FMG has most of its debt due in the next few years, this would push about half that debt out beyond that period and increase the flexibility of the balance sheet. It may also result in an increased dividend with the spare cash or further capacity growth if the market supports it.
Can only be good news for the share price if successful.
