Hi RB- yes, de-watering is an ongoing process. at CC in the past, and around the helper area today, the older, established producers were/ are allowed to discharge their water back onto ground. they have, in fact, been " grand-fathered in" with not insignificant cost savings involved.
the new guys( mae) are not so fortunate, and must either drill wells specifically to act as "returns" ( with pretty stict environmental controls) or pay other producers in the area to pipe the water out/down for them. as well as gas flow meters, there are water flow meters near well heads to account for every gallon!
don't worry- the process will come to fruition!!!
