    Mr P,

to reply to your question, yes, that may be the best time for Santos to move. But really, the best time for them was 12 months ago!

In response to Psi81 and on the issue of flows rates and full-field economics (tightly held data) - I think you will find that the stacked multi-lats will flow at a hell of a lot more than 3-4MMCFD. ESG's thinnest seam by itself flowed at over 2MMCFD after only a few months on pump ( en route to somewhere north of 3MMCFD (and, I have heard rumours of 6MMCFD which were not denied by the company). The Bohena was flowing at over 1MMCFD, and that monster is going to take ages to fully ramp up due to its sheer size. Then, add in the Hoskissons seam...

So, whilst I agree there are some excellent and cost efficient verticals in QLD, (as well as plenty of pretty ordinary ones), ESG are going to be as good as any on the cost curve, with a huge resource, and with far less impact on the land.

Or, as our Japanese partners may say, " Mr Casey, you are big Austlalian man with big gas, but you walk quietly in forest, and leave onry rittle footplints. Sank you."

    Yaq

    (and ALH, top post.)

(And Some Guy, the dancing was good. Thanks for caring.)
    :)
