Whilst I agree SKI putting in the $80mill would be a huge statement of intent, I actually don't believe it is the be all or end all of all things.

I believe more importantly the NAIF funding is a bigger tick - once/if the NAIF funding drops, then this will allow other puzzle pieces to come together in my opinion. When other possible financiers can see the government taking onboard some of the risk then I'm sure this would be a positive to them as well. As we all know, once getting governments onside then a lot of things can be done quicker.
There are plenty of signs in my opinion that the government is on board or at the very least strongly considering the SCONI project, especially with Townsville being in a bit of a rut the last few years economically. The company has also mentioned in one of their social media tweets that

Another aside point that could also assist is SKI has it's own various financiers/banks it uses and I'm sure there would be a some sort of dialogue there, regarding SCONI finance considering the reputation that the conglomerate has.

Anyways we will find out soon how serious and quickly SKI want to get SCONI off the ground with the $80mill, and thereby allowing of long lead items to be ordered for their Hungary Plant - if not I don't believe it is the end of the world that many here are saying because the actual offtake part of contract is binding so at the very least the project would have to be dead for them to walk as per my understanding of everything.

^Sorry some of the stuff got chopped off - You could argue it may be fluff but the company has also mentioned in their social media tweets that they are in funding discussions with Australian government are in full swing and also there was that tweet depicting of photo with Queensland Premier and SKI in Korea
