No need for them to apologise. Funding issues caused these delays. It was not good but our management managed to navigate us through. It's clear on your agenda, when you mention the delays, but not the cause. Many people understand the issues around dealing with financiers, especially in a foreign country.
Go and give Mr or Mrs spid a hug. Tell him/her that we feel for them.
