I enjoy both your posts and appreciate your efforts.
Let’s hope the copper price can continue its recent run up, though this week it has slipped back to US$4.05/lb (live price) from a peak last week of US$4.29/lb. I did read a report last week that suggested the copper price might ease off as there were some shenanigans with some commodity traders and a 400,000 tonne short position in copper: too complex for me to understand this. Any way the article seemed to get it right by what has happened this week.
The good news is that in the longer term the world will be in deficit copper and the price will rise as there is no effective substitute for this highly conductive metal.
