What a pleasant surprise opening my copper pricing portal just now.
Copper closed at US$4.01 overnight.
Copper closed at $3.81 overnight just two trading days ago.
It seems like the reality of low inventories, declining grades worldwide at existing mines, increasing demand from decarbonisation and the slow stirrings in the China property market have copper traders starting to take some interest.
