but a home is not and never was an 'investment' in the essence of 'investing'
it's an investment for living - a shelter. For that - it's prime
but, for making money - it's the craziest most stupid idea a society can get
other 'houses' or 'apartments' for rent ---------- fine. But, a house or home is a shelter
if one turns it into a profit - into money -------- then, one doesn't have anywhere to live
so, needs another 'home'
the absolute stupidity of people who have turned a basic need of life into a profit making machine - have done immense harm to society - to their own kids, certainly to their grandkids and to their nation
some wise nations have laws to prevent such stupidity
Australia has mad laws to 'enhance' the stupidity
It's amazing how the same people who cheer the rising of the 'cost' of their shelter -
are also the same mob who groan about the cost of their food and power
all of those things are the same ----------- basic needs of life
