Im afraid that political lobying is, and has for many years been, very much a part of politics and political decision making. It is a multi billion $ industry world wide.

It may pay for "the new industry" to form a strong well funded loby group itsself.

The barrage of letters and faxes sent to members by some on this thread is a start.....All the main players getting togeather and acting in a cohesive, well planned way based on research etc etc would be a big start. IMO this may not happen CNX etc have been too quiet on the issue no outrage about the industry there and could be trying to go under the radar in QLD.

But this I am sure you already know......Will it happen in time to save the Kingaroy.....Dont know but Im sure that Len is trying his hardest to get into bed with Julia etc etc etc.
