Current estimates put Algorythmic Trading at getting close to 80% of all trading.
Quite scary really & shows how easily markets can be manipulated.
Really surprised that the financial regulators worldwide can not see inherent problems in this way of trading.
I mean they have banned naked short selling at various stages for very much the same reasons.
On a further note I am wondering if Wah Nams derisory bid of $2.63ish based on today's prices influenced the pull back.
Pity we did not come in with a $3 a share bid which would have been about $450 million & nabbed the 18.5 million Port Allocation they have.
They have a JORC of just over 1Billion tonnes at 60% & above.
Would have also made QR Rail think it was worth building a railway.
As there is only about 35% of disgruntled shareholders left that would involve us spending about $160 million ish.
I wonder if this would then leave Wah Scam stranded & eventually have to sell to us in a few years in time for the Port Allocation to be available.
Apologies on any figures that were out .
Penny for your thoughts ??
