PTFE,
If I am a Fund Manager and I control 39 million shares but do not attend the meeting but give my vote by proxy are you ssaying that somebody with 10,000 shares who attends the meeting and votes counts on par with my 39 million.
I was under the impression that if The Chairperson has a massive amount of proxy votes from the institutions that amounts to more than 75 % of the total votes cast at the meeting. Then that wins the day
How does 50 % defeat what I have said above. I am lost here please help. For example 2000 people attend 1500 vote against but that only equates to say control of 20 % of the shares cast at the meeting. 500 vote yes and they have control of 80 % of the shares cast at the meeting. Who is the winner? I am confused
