Clearly some of the biggest winners out of the surging oil price are the small explorers who generally struggle to attract even the most thrill seeking of investors. One such company is the tiny Bass Strait Oil that has gone from almost sinking without a trace to giving away a red-hot float just a few weeks ago. Central to the company's planned transition from micro-oil to big oil is the journey taken in the opposite direction by its chairman, Bernard Wheelahan.
