Image the great majority here would have grasped "A/C" as Air Con even if they weren't aware inverter compressor motors were one of the major demand segments NdFeB.

Quick look at one of China's major mag makers illustrates the fact VERY clearly:



A/C equal top revenue but with 108% demand growth vs Wind basically flat 3%.

While imagine it will continue to lift rapidly, the "EV Revolution" has been a far smaller part of JL Mag's business, healthy 48% growth last year albeit off a lower base. JL Mag aren't dumb ass enough to punt a one trick pony, few with any business experience would, particularly given dependence on generous subsidies, ain't terribly difficult to read fluctuations in demand over several years, whereas A/C has been a very consistent growth story, particularly across Asia, and NdFeB offers compelling efficiency gains.

Now while you are digging up the mass of metals required for all your half tonne battery packs, and processing the bulk of them inside your poster child China with ~57% coal generated electricity, have you given any thought as to how we are going to clean up your mess when all those battery packs are done?
