SEN claims to be the global leader in its field.
Response: If you Google the term: "high speed network encryption technology" you will see that SEN is not THE leader in this field. It’s just ONE OF the players.

SEN has agreed to deliver ITS (not said but they mean SafeNet I believe) new encryption platform FOR TESTING from July 2007.
Response: Well why wouldn’t you? Also delivering something for tyre kicking purposes is hardly a company-saving sale. If sales come they are likely to be well down the track and meanwhile their competitors won’t be sitting on their hands.

Senetas has agreed to further expedite development their release said.
Response: You either expedite something or you don’t. FURTHER expedite is just PR fluff.

SEN talks about working on the design of an RoHS-compliant device.
Response: Hands up everyone who knows what an RoHS device actually is.

SEN talks about SafeNet’s 2007 royalty payments to SEN from CypherNet sales in the US exceed 88% of total royalties for the previous year as a whole.
Response: 88% of what. Also is a previous year AS A WHOLE somehow different from the previous year.

SEN says ‘we are working closer than ever with SafeNet ….. probably 100% more effective…”
Response: Was there a lack of a close working relationship before that was not assisting things. Why was this so?

SEN’s release rattles on with PR jargon designed to make things sound fine but lack clarity, lacks firm sales numbers and lacks certainty about the future.

SEN’s release then states for further information to contact Investor Relations.
Response: No name given. Is their former Investor Relations person on holidays, not there, sick, or what. If the CEO is quoted why not have him as the contact if the Investor guy is ill/etc?

Summary: This release is designed to try and get SEN noticed. It’s just PR guff and not all that well crafted either. Possibly the news release is designed to hold out hope for shareholders in the face of what could be a sad half-yearly announcement.
