Agriculture missed out again. Biosecurity is just another public servant, an extra department and another piece of paper for the farmer to fill out. How the hell do they think that is going to increase production with more red tape? There was a small mention of considering paying farmers for the land they do not clear, how about compensating farmers for their freehold land that is locked up by government already? It's like you using your freehold commercial building in town as a restaurant and the government telling you that you can use the dining room but not the kitchen area! How would you feel? I am all for no go zones for our wildlife but they need to be government owned, farmers should not be made to pay for their political wildlife policies.
